Shining Light Behind Bars , Prison Ministry in Uganda

In Uganda today, nearly 80% of our prisoners are youth sons, brothers, fathers, and friends whose lives took a wrong turn, often not out of choice, but because of circumstances they could not control. Poverty, unemployment, illiteracy, and a lack of godly guidance have robbed them of hope and direction. Many never had anyone to listen to their pain or speak to their hearts about life and purpose.

Our belief

We believe no life is beyond redemption. That is why our Prison Ministry exists to step into these dark places with the light of God’s Word, offering counseling, guidance, and an open ear. We give them the rare opportunity to speak their truth, release their burdens, and discover the love of a God who still calls them His own.But we don’t stop at words. We extend practical love providing necessities like soap, shaving kits, and basic hygiene items that remind them they still matter. In these small acts, we see dignity restored and hearts softened.
