Founded by Pastor Derrick Magala, who once lived on the streets of Uganda, this ministry was born out of a powerful testimony of redemption. Today, he leads with a vision to bring healing, hope, and the gospel to Uganda’s villages.

The VELA
Village Empowerment and Life Advancement
VELA is a response to the pressing needs in rural communities. It empowers youth and women through training in farming, savings, entrepreneurship, and leadership. The goal is to build stronger families and raise local leaders who bring lasting change to their communities.
