About the Founder – Derrick Magala

Derrick Magala’s story is not just one to read—it’s one that moves hearts and inspires action.

From the age of 7 to 14, Derrick lived on the streets of Uganda, surrounded by hunger, fear, and rejection. Many nights, survival was uncertain. But even in those darkest moments, God was writing a greater story.

In 2007, Derrick encountered Jesus Christ and everything changed.

What followed was not an easy path, but a journey marked by faith through hardship, sickness, and struggle. Step by step, God lifted him and placed within him a deep calling: to reach those who feel forgotten, just as he once was.

Today, Derrick is the founder of Salvation for All Charity Organization Uganda, a Christ-centered ministry impacting the lives of deaf children, vulnerable families, and underserved communities. What began as one life rescued has now become a growing movement of hope, healing, and transformation.

But this story is still being written.

There are more children to reach. More lives to restore. More communities to transform.

Our skilling center we dream about

A Vision of Hope and Transformation

We are believing for a home and skilling center—a safe haven where vulnerable children will not only find shelter, but also discover purpose and hope. A place where they will gain practical skills such as tailoring, baking, crafting, and carpentry—skills that will empower them to stand on their own in a challenging world.

Restoration for Teen Mothers

But this vision goes even further. This center will also become a place of restoration for teen mothers—young girls forced to grow up too soon. Many have been rejected. Many are struggling just to survive. Here, they will receive a second chance—to be trained, empowered, and equipped to care for their children and rebuild their dignity. No longer ashamed. No longer forgotten. No longer stuck.

But rising again—with hope.

Evangelism and Transformation

This will also be a center for evangelism and transformation—hosting youth camps, discipleship programs, and leadership training. A place where lives are not only changed, but sent out to change others.
